Begins the final stage of teams preparation for the Formula Student Russia competition

The SMP Racing program, with the support of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow held a series of online lectures and webinars, now teams must prepare their own projects.

Due to restrictions in European countries on holding public events during the summer months, which were introduced due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic organizers of international Formula Student competitions were forced to cancel their technical battles in Europe.

Taking into account the dynamics of the epidemiological situation and the forecasts of specialists, the organizers of the Russian competition "Formula Student" are planning to hold a competition on September 10-13 in Moscow.

To date 21 teams from universities in Russia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Egypt have applied for participation in it. They will compete in two classes: CV - vehicles with an internal combustion engine and EV - electric vehicles. Applications for foreign teams are open until July 1.

Among those who have already applied for participation are the strongest Polish team in the EV class from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, one of the leaders in the international ranking, the team from the German University Technische Hochschule Ulm (Ulm), the strongest team from the Hungarian university Széchenyi István University (Gyor) and other foreign student groups. The team from the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI), which was the first of the Russians to declare an electric car in the competition, the strongest Russian team from Togliatti State University, teams from the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, Ural State University of Railways and other universities.

During the summer months, the teams will have to complete their competitive works.
